Of course there are examples of fat tails as extreme or more extreme as the 80-20 rule. My point was based on the results from ref 1 most power laws are not that extreme.

However that was one survey and the world is a big place, so I’d be curious to see more work looking into the prevalence of very fat tailed distributions.
