Thanks for the questions. Here are my impressions from what I can remember.

1. A big (and perhaps obvious one) was Python. Another point was the ability to make the abstract data science work more accessible to clients via visualizations, dashboard, or web apps.

2. Going after volume via short term projects seemed popular. This way you can accumulate many positive testimonials quickly.

3. That’s a good question but not something we got into much. My impression is many could pause the work given savings or other income sources.
